About Us

Casa Vera Montessori School was opened in September 2005. We have one Toddler classroom for toddlers from 16 months to 2.5 years and one Casa classroom for preschool children from 2.5 to 6 years.

The size of our daycare is a great advantage as it enables us to stay very close to children and their families. Children and their families are an integral part of our education as well as our school. The real happiness and success in children's lives can be created only through very close interaction between the Montessori preschool and the family.

Therefore, we strongly support our parents in their role and influence in development of the child. Besides Parent-Teacher meetings where we discuss individually with each family the progress/needs of their child, we also have regular Parent Night meetings where we usually introduce aspects of Montessori education to parents and help them understand how they can support their child at home.

Two times a year, we organize an educational meeting with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine who introduces to parents the benefits of naturopathic medicine/therapy. Naturopathy integrates modern medicine & scientific methodology with traditional systems of healing. It usually includes the use of natural remedies with the emphasis on diet and strengthening the immune system. Proper environmental controls and appropriate naturopathic treatments can, in most cases, help children to bring certain medical or allergic conditions (asthma etc) under control.

Casa Vera Montessori School provides an enriching education, guided by Montessori philosophy, for children in a beautiful, caring and harmonious learning environment. Our classroom has a special atmosphere of cheerful orderliness, calmness and purposeful work.

We empower the child to fully explore their path of self-discovery and development in the Montessori environment. The child's environment is carefully planned and organized to enhance learning in a focused, uninterrupted manner following Montessori principles.

We are proud that our teachers are enthusiastic and devoted professionals with outstanding experience in child education. They embrace the Montessori philosophy with a depth of knowledge and a genuine desire to encourage all children to develop a positive attitude towards learning and education. All teachers have completed Montessori courses and possess recognized certificates/diplomas. They often go beyond the required qualifications and continuously expand their professional knowledge.

We are an accredited member of CCMA (Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators - www.ccma.ca), which promotes standards of excellence for Canadian Montessori programs and educators.

Accredited status confirms that our school meets the highest standard for providing an authentic Montessori education and children enjoy a true Montessori environment.

As the Montessori name is the public domain and cannot be copyrighted and neither can it be patented, any school can call itself a Montessori school, even if its program and education is different from Montessori philosophy and methodology.

Undergoing the accreditation process and being awarded accreditation status, we reaffirm our commitment to provide high quality and genuine Montessori education to your children.

Our school frequently hosts student teachers for Montessori training institutes to fulfill their teaching experience and class observation required for graduation.

We understand the Montessori education as a complex educational approach, where all parts play an equal role. Our focus is not centered only to reading and writing skills, which are probably the most visible and by parents' misconception the most valued achievements of Montessori education. In our school, children are exposed to a balanced environment from all segments of Montessori education as Practical Life, Sensorial Materials, Language, Mathematics, Cultural Studies, Art/Creativity and Physical Education, because each has the very same importance in a child's development.

As we believe each child is extraordinary and talented individual, and our program has been enriched with extra curriculum program areas such as Music lessons, Pottery/Clay classes art where each child can find their natural gifts and talents can be further nurtured and explored.

We also strongly encourage physical fitness and recreational activities. Therefore, besides the regular daily playground time and yoga exercise, we completed our program with Dancing course.

Within our carefully structured environment, children are constantly stimulated through their own natural desires for knowledge. As a result, our students develop a passion for learning. This enables them to become confident and follow a path of discovery, respecting the people and world around them.

Children are the most precious part of our present life and they are the world's future generation. We should also remember that when we want to build better world and better future, we definitely should start with our children.
